What are NHS Walk-in Centres?

NHS Walk-in Centres are helping to modernise and improve NHS services, offering more convenience and choice to patients.

At Headrow NHS Walk-in Centre, Leeds, our team includes experienced nurses, GPs, and physiotherapists.

When are they open?

The Headrow NHS Walk-in Centre is open from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.

What can we treat at the centre?

Netcare offers treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, physiotherapy and health advice and information on a range of services.

We treat:

  • Minor illnesses and injuries

  • Headaches

  • Coughs, colds and flu-like symptoms

  • Skin complaints

  • Muscle and joint injuries

We also provide information on:
  • Maintaining a healthy lifestyle

  • Local healthcare services.
No appointment is necessary and you don’t need to be registered with a GP.



Other information

We are unable to treat:
  • Unwell children under 2 years old

  • Road traffic accident injuries

  • Head injury with loss of consciousness

  • Drug and alcohol dependency

  • Severe allergic reactions

  • We cannot provide doctor’s certificates.
In these instances, you will need to make an appointment with your own GP or attend your local A&E Department.

What else can you do?

Self-care: A small supply of over the counter remedies might help you with common ailments, such as coughs, colds and sore throats.

Pharmacist: Talk to your local pharmacist for expert advice on medications and everyday illnesses.

NHS Direct: Call 0845 4647 for nurse advice if you’re feeling ill and are unsure what to do, or for health information on particular conditions.

GP’s surgery: Make an appointment to see your GP for general medical advice and treatment.

A&E/999: Go to A&E or dial 999 for an ambulance in an emergency such as severe chest pain, serious loss of blood or suspected broken bones.
