Exclusions

There are a number of general exclusions for referral to the GMSC.

Some of the patients who may be excluded include:


- Under 18 years of age

- MRSA positive

- Pregnant

- Solid organ transplant

- ASA 4 and 5

- BMI 40 > unless procedure under LA

- Cancer treatment in last 6 months

- Recurrent DVT / PE or DVT / PE in last 6 months
