The Headrow NHS Walk-In Centre

Service Overview

What are NHS Walk-in Centres?

NHS Walk-in Centres are helping to modernise and improve NHS services, offering more convenience and choice to patients.

At Headrow NHS Walk-in Centre, Leeds, our team includes experienced nurses, GPs and physiotherapists.

When are they open?

Leeds is open 7am to 7pm, Monday to Friday.

What can we treat at the centre?

Netcare offers treatment for minor injuries and illnesses, physiotherapy, and health advice and information on a range of services.

We treat:

  • Minor illnesses and injuries

  • Headaches

  • Coughs, colds and flu-like symptoms

  • Skin complaints

  • Muscle and joint injuries

We also provide information on:
  • Maintaining a healthy lifestyle

  • Local healthcare services.
No appointment is necessary and you don’t need to be registered with a GP.

The centre is run by Netcare and is designed to improve access to primary care assessment and treatment.

NHS Walk-in Centres won’t replace patients' GP services. All patients requiring long-term treatment or follow up are encouraged to visit their own GP.

We will not change any chronic disease management or treatment.

We work closely with local GPs, primary care trusts, acute hospital trusts, social services and mental health trusts to ensure that appropriate referrals are made to and from the walk-in centres.

We send a summary of each patient’s visit to their GP, if the patient has given their consent. We do this by faxing or posting letters to GP practices.
